IN MEMORIAM
Ambassador Bill Lane passed away at 90 of respiratory failure. Former co-publisher of Sunset Magazine, Bill was a long-time member of Skal and one of the founding fathers of PATA. He was the former Ambassador to Australia. Bill will be long remembered.

A memorial service for Ambassador L. W. "Bill"
Lane, Jr., AO, will be held in Stanford Memorial Church at noon on Friday,
October 1, 2010. All balconies will be open. A reception following the
ceremony will be at Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center, Stanford Campus. In
lieu of flowers, gifts in Bill's memory would be welcome at Peninsula Open Space
Trust, California State Parks Foundation, Yosemite conservancy, and Portola
Valley Open Space Acquisition Fund.
